Molybdenum rod is a rod-like material made of molybdenum metal with high melting point, good thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion properties. Molybdenum rod has oxidation resistance and high strength at high temperature, so it is widely used in the manufacture of electric vacuum devices, electric light source parts, high temperature heating bodies and high temperature structural parts.
Physical and chemical properties
Molybdenum rod has high melting point (2610ºC) and low thermal expansion coefficient, and has good electrical and thermal conductivity. It is chemically stable and able to resist oxidation at high temperatures .
